PARSONS CD WORKSHOPS
Reconnecting is an editorial highlighting the poetic and sentimental work of Korean American photographer
Janice Chung. The text from the dialogue of Chung’s short film I Miss You presents a conversation between
Chung and her mother discussing her mother’s longing for her home and family. Integrated throughout the
text are photographs taken in New York and South Korea to further emphasize the yearning for connection
within the liminality that exists in many Asian American cultures and generational relationships.
